NATIONAL TEAM CHALLENGE 2012

The National Team Challenge took place on Sunday and our Bracknell team was magnificently supported throughout the day by family, friends and fellow club members. Our skaters gave their absolute best and we were very proud of their performances. Alas despite everyone’s enthusiasm and energy it was not Bracknell’s turn to be on the podium this year and certainly with eight strong teams it was always going to be a tough competition. We congratulate Guildford on a splendid win, with Alexandra Palace a very close second and Isle of Wight in third and look forward to competing against them in 2013! As always a huge amount of work is required and undertaken by committee members and parents to enable Bracknell to participate and our grateful thanks go to them as well as our skaters and Bracknell coaches.

Many congratulations to Bethany Armitage, Yu Matsumura, Chantelle A’Court and Chloe Arthur and James Smith who achieved podium places and special mention must go to Chloe and James who had exactly one week after they returned from the British Solo Dance to practice the two pattern dances together so they could skate as a couple!
