Huge congratulations to 14 year old
Grace Boland who was only notified last week that due to her national ranking
she had been invited to compete in the British Championships at Advance Novice
Level on Tuesday. Despite the very short preparation time and without her
coach of nine years Grace skated her short programme on Tuesday and gave a
lovely performance. It was an experience she will never forget and was
extremely proud to represent Bracknell and to follow in the footsteps of the
select number ‘home grown’ free skaters Loretta Sartorio, Stacey Bullock, Sarah
Johnson and Simon Waller who have represented the club in free skating at
previous British Championships. Grace would like to say a big thank you to
Emma, without whom she would not have been there.
The club is immensely proud of Grace
and delighted that this hard earned achievement has become one of highlights of
the club’s 25th anniversary.
Well done Grace!
Competing TODAY at the British
Championships are Emily Phillips and Jayin Panesar who have qualified in the new
Basic Novice Level category introduced this year. At ten years old
talented Emily and Jayin are the youngest competitors in this year’s
championships at 10 years of age and we wish the very best of luck. Go
Bracknell!
