Many thanks to everyone who attended the opening number rehearsal last night –
skaters all worked really hard and this number is now finished and looks great!
Skaters will be supplied with a new royal blue t shirt for this number and can
wear any skating leggings, trousers, skating skirt/dress they wish to go with it
for the gala – sparkly is good!
Arrangements for Thursday rehearsal
-
Spotlight operators and announcer will be present
-
There will be an ice cut at 7pm and all skaters in the group number should
be ready to go on the ice for 7.15. Please get ready in the boot room so
any instructions to skaters and parents these can be given beforehand. This
includes Ice Ability skaters.
-
Volunteers are needed on the night to chaperone the children to and from the
ice and while they get changed in and out of their skates.
-
Once the group number has run through – the finale/curtain call will be
practised so that
everyone including groups, soloists and teams know when and
where they are entering the ice, what they will be holding (we have lots of
helium balloons and a very large cake!) and where they will stand for the
photo. Also skaters will need to know when and where to exit the ice. T
shirts will be provided for all skaters. After this group skaters can go
home.
-
Synchro/Dance group with follow with their run through.
-
After which there will be time for soloists to practice their routine in
order of skate if they wish with music and spotlight operators.
-
It has been decided following two successful performance on Saturday that
NTC group do not need an additional practice but NTC skaters do need to
attend the rehearsal for the finale as this will directly follow their
number so need to know arrangements for their props.
Schedule for solo skaters will be issued tonight – apologies for the delay.
Attached is the gala poster
to email to family, friends, teachers and put on Facebook!
Many thanks everyone – nearly there! Any queries please do not hesitate to
email.
Regards
Lesley
